Synopsis: Raimonds is an adolescent pupil at a school specializing in music. His behavior earns him a severe reprimand, but he has no intention of obtaining his mother's signature on the form he's given and unplugs the telephone when his teacher tries to call her at home. Raimonds' mother's life is hard. She works overtime at a clinic to make ends meet. This means Raimonds is left to deal with his problems on his own. To cap it all, he discovers his mother has been deceiving him with all her talk of night shifts. She is unaware of the number of desperate acts he gets into. The excuses which follow soon ensnare him in an impossible situation.

Ja-nis Nords: Ja-nis Nords is a Latvian screenwriter and director. He's worked as an assistant director on the making of films and TV ads. He gained an education in film making at the NFTS in Great Britain. He made his debut with the full-length film Amateur (Amatieris, 2008). From his other works we'll mention the short films Freedom Day (2010) and Au Revoir Monkeys (2011), and the feature drama Mother, I Love You (Mammu, es Tevi milu, 2013).
