Synopsis: In 1984, Manchester, eleven-year-old Georgie is an extraordinarily gifted soccer player who often lands in trouble for committing petty crimes. When Sir Matt Busby (based on the legendary, real-life manager of Manchester United) tracks Georgie down after the boy attempts to steal his wallet, he discovers Georgie's talent and comes out of retirement to coach him and his group of neighborhood friends as they prepare to compete in the Manchester Junior Cup. As the big game approaches, Georgie faces challenges as he attempts to balance his school priorities with his love of soccer, and learns to be true to himself without letting down his family and friends.
