Synopsis: This feature documentary follows the life of Canadian classical pianist Marika Bournaki between the ages of 12 and 20! Shot in concert halls, hotels and airports around the world, the film dramatically unfolds to reveal the coming of age of an ambitious, talented pianist and the consequences of her eight-year journey to make it. The film gives us a rare and candid look inside the world of classical music - a world where an elusive alchemy of sacrifice, talent and luck is required. As Marika seeks her place and identity in this challenging environment, we witness her evolution from child to adult and experience the numerous conflicts she overcomes to finally make it on her own.

Bobbi Jo Hart: Bobbi Jo Krals-Hart is a Canadian screenwriter, director and producer of documentary films. Her first production was the short film A Calling to Care (1997), which she followed with the medium-length film Shrinkage (2001). She shot the feature documentary She Got Game (2003) together with Abby Jack Neidik, which was screened at many festivals. She made her independent debut with the film I Am Not a Rock Star (2012).
