Synopsis: Thirteen-year-old Marushka isn't fat; she's just a little overweight. And because she sees only photographs of beautiful fashion models and watches them on television - seeing how perfect they are and always hearing that the world needs only successful and attractive people - she begins to have an inferiority complex. This comes at an age when Marushka starts liking boys for more than just their minds. So she decides that she must become one of those beauties from a magazine. After all, she has an excellent role model in her best friend. What does it matter that she's already sliding down into hard anorexia and another friend has already been hospitalized with this diagnosis... The first round is waiting for Marushka: bulimia.

Vít Olmer: Vít Olmer (1942) is a film screenwriter, director and actor. He graduated from DAMU, and later in directing from FAMU. He's worked as an actor for prominent Czech directors. His debut feature-length film was the drama So Bye-Bye (Takže ahoj, 1970). He's shot many documentaries and feature films, many of which have received wide audience attention, e.g., the films What's Up, Doc? (Co je vám, doktore, 1984), As Good As Poison (Jako jed, 1985), Bony a Klid (1987), Tank Battalion (Tankový prapor, 1991), Nudity For Sale (Nahota na prodej, 1993). He also has a wealth of TV productions.
